How it works
Questions and answers
Q) Is your company licensed and insured?
A) Yes, Watco Construction is a fully insured and Florida State licensed General
Contractor specializing in demolition services since 1998.
Q) Do I have to get the necessary permits or do you get them?
A) Watco Construction will apply for and obtain necessary permits for your
project. Homeowners should be very leery of individuals asking to have the
permits submitted in the owners name. Often times these people are unlicensed
and uninsured. Watco Construction will never ask for the permits in any other
name than ours.
Q) How long does the process take?
A) Time frames can vary depending on the city/county in which you reside.
Some municipalities offer same day walk in permitting, while others can take
7-21 days. Once we have the permit in hand we will schedule your demolition
within one week. The actual demolition is completed in 1 to 2 days.
Q) What if I am out of state, can I still have my home demolished?
A) Yes you can, homeowners do not need to be in state to have their home
removed. Often times we have dual residents requesting our services. Whether
it be for health or financial reasons, we can complete the process for you while
you are out of state. We will forward all necessary paperwork to you. Once you
verify and notarize the documents, we will submit for permitting. This avoids
having to make an additional trip with added expenses.
Q) Does the home have to be empty?
A) No, as long as you have what you need; that is all that matters. We will
recycle whatever can be recycled, and discard the rest. However additional fees
may apply, due to the increase of material that we must take to the dump.
